India secured its second Asian Games gold medal in women’s hockey after defeating China at the 2026 edition in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, on Friday.
It end a 44-year long wait for a second gold medal, a drought which stretched back to the first edition of the event conducted in 1982 in New Delhi.
